Sketches in English was a one-day festival of short English performances for children aged 6 - 16 who are not native English speakers. It was organized by our school in cooperation with the Kladska Basic School. The aim was to bring together schools, teachers, and students who like learning and teaching English through drama and theatre, give them an opportunity to see the work of others and exchange ideas, feedback, and contacts. The festival took place in 2006 for the first time,  then it has developed into a nice regular event with growing interest from schools in Prague and the surroundings, and the last edition took place in 2009. Originally the festival was conceived as a competition, but we gradually managed to move away from the competitive end and focus on cooperation and group cohesion goals.
